Money Is What You Make It

#MoneyIsWhatYouMakeIt

Under Henry these willow wood exchequer tally sticks were British currency. This system of money stood for 600yrs in England and before, the Vikings used it, making it one of the most long standing, successful forms of non-specie [non-metal coin] money.

The system has stood for longer than the current paper system introduced by the Chinese before Europeans introduced it in the 1700s to leverage commerce.

Today the British use paper and in America it's cotton as currency. The question therefore is: if a stick worked, why can’t Zimbabweans make paper work? The nation being cut out of the financial system by US sanctions? Lack of productivity? Laziness? Is the problem the paper, govt, the system or our unproductive mindset as a people?
